When NPP was in power, the argument made by workers of Media General Ghana and it’s affiliates as TV3 Ghana, 3FM 92.7, Onua 95.1 FM, Onua TV et al, was that “our taxes are not paid to the opposition so it makes no sense holding same to account”.
The characters as Roland Walker, Keminni Nyamanni Amanor, Berla Mundi, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, Cookie Tee, and the most useless amongst them, John Babatunde who now calls himself Johnny Hughes, spearheaded the stupidity.
Regular refrain
Their regular refrain was “our taxes pay for the comfort of government appointtees so we have the right to insult them, and they must stomach it”. They used that narrative to inflict the worse form of vituperative diatribes on Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Today, their sustained calls on the NPP government to declare State of emergency over galamsey menace have ceased. The complaints about food prices, dumsor et al, have given way to praise-singing, and all-expenses-paid trips abroad.
Indeed, John Babatunde coined his early morning nonsensical attacks on TV3 GHANA, to further prosecute this agenda, for which he was handsomely paid by his puppet masters, and now putting icing on the cake by paying for his expensive holidays abroad.
Infidelitous buffoons
They hoodwinked Ghanaians with their deceptive cacophony of calling for accountability from officialdom but in reality, were fighting for their crooked bellies. These are bunch of infidelitous buffoons without a scintilla of personal integrity.
Since ndc came to power on 7th January 2025, their avowed principle of holding government accountable, has been thrown out of the window. Their criticism has rather been on NPP that is now in opposition; this should tell you these are despicable ants.
The NPP have boycotted their platform but all topics discussed on their programs are about bashing NPP, while singing praises of John Dramani Mahama, in the face of unfolding cataclysmically apocalyptic chaos and incompetence before our eyes.
Taking back our property
I have said this, and will reiterate: a future NPP Administration should take steps, legally, and nationalize the facility currently occupied by Media General which was a State property (Film Institute) built by Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s 1st President.
The facility was given to P(NDC) aparachiks by the late Jerry John Rawlings, under the dubious Divestiture Implementation Committee, under which over 200 of such State properties were mercilessly looted and shared among shared like toffees.
Insane reportage
For the years I talked about these infidelitous buffoons at Media General over their insane reportage about the NPP Administration, some people, including even members of my party, thought I was being overly confrontational. But thank God we’ve now seen the light.
These characters at Media General, an entity I personally describe as a mental health institution but hiding behind a farçade of a Media house, don’t have a scintilla of honesty, decency and consistency. They thrive on duplicity, lies, hypocrisy, and bigotry.
Their consciences are permanently seared; their brains are floating in pools of fermented cat urine; their credibility is in tatters, with their intellect in the reverse. Their only motivation in life is putting their gluttonous bellies on sale to the highest and highly corrupt bidder.
Lullabies
They always want panelists appearing on their programs to sing lullabies that perfectly fall inline with their evil, jaundiced, duplicitous, dishonest, the malicious, and outright lies, in furtherance to blood covenant signed with ndc to attack NPP, with utmost religiosity.
You listen to their programs, and all the callers into same, never make any meaningful contributions, but sing praises of ndc. You call into their program and try to express a divergent view, and you’ll either be faced with hostility or swiftly cut-off the line.
Audience research
In the concept of media practice, there’s what we call AUDIENCE RESEARCH, which is actually meant to do BOUNDARY SCANNING. This purposely targets those with views and comments that are asymmetrical, in order to help effect changes and reforms.
But to Media General’s self-seeking gluttonous ignorant bunch, expressing a divergent view on their platform is both an anathema and sacrilege. How in God’s name would a media entity engage in such behavior, if it is not, in reality, a mental health facility?
To my NPP family
The hypocrisy and dishonesty of these characters must never be allowed to exist beyond 2028; they’ve never meant well for Ghana. They’re characters who never believe in anything positive for our country, unless they can reap huge financial rewards.
I will therefore end by admonishing followers of NPP to eshew rancorous intraparty contestations to make the party attractive to Ghanaians, prosecute effective agenda towards 2028, and by the grace of the Lord Almighty, we shall be victorious.
