The Genuine Acceptance For Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Was Reaffirmed By Delegates At Npp National Delegates Conference

In simple terms, Saturday’s NPP National Delegates Conference, which was held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, Legon in the Greater Accra Region, was a success.

In fact, Party bigwigs, respected senior Party stalwarts, dedicated Delegates from Ghana and the External Branches, and loyalists of the Party were present for the National Annual Delegates Conference.

As one of the delegates, I couldn’t hide my joy, delight, excitement, and happiness from the level of enthusiasm and passion on the faces of colleagues who were also present.

In all fairness, the event was a colorful one with the organization and the orderly manner in which the whole program was being conducted by the organizers and the entire organizing committee.

They deserve a standing ovation and a pat on the back for the phenomenal manner in which they exhibited professionalism with the handling of issues during and after the Conference.

Back to the main subject of this important piece, we all know that our revered Party Stalwarts who are putting themselves up to run for the Party’s Presidential primaries were duly present to grace the Conference.

What caught my attention, despite the orderly manner in which the whole conference was carried out, was the messages delivered by our respected dignitaries.

The rousing welcome received by our Former Vice President and Former Flagbearer for the Party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was stupendously indescribable throughout the proceedings.

What’s instructive to note is the collective acceptance and warm reception Dr Mahamudu Bawumia received from the rank and file of the Party when he was introduced and the heartwarming, excellent speech he delivered, which resonates with the spirit of the Party.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s speech touched on the following vital areas, the need for Unity, discipline, the reforms, and the collaborative approach to tackle the clueless NDC government head-on.

I was dumbfounded and astonished even though I knew from inception that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was the favourite to lead the NPP. The response from Delegates across the Country was top-notch and spot-on, to say the least.

The chants for him to lead the Party again were loud and crystal clear, signalling a moment of genuine acceptance as the next Flagbearer, Insha Allah, to lead the Country again.

For clarity, this is not a way of disrespecting the others present, but Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s charisma stood out and he was well-embraced by delegates and other Party members who were fortunate to be part.

In addition, there were goosebumps all over my body, essentially for the organic and immeasurable love shown to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who once again showcased a masterclass speech.

His speech was well coordinated and touched on the relevant areas of the ups and downs of the Party after our defeat. The speech was an inspiration and a motivation for all Party patriots to eschew unnecessary attacks.

Fast forward, to say Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s speech was a masterstroke that touches all the important areas would be an understatement. He is a leader par excellence when it comes to speeches and actions.

Interestingly, a leader with grassroots appeal was settled and no one can deny the obvious fact that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia stands out when it comes to who commands respect from the Delegates.

Simply put, the debate was put to rest, and as Dr Mahamudu Bawumia goes with the spirit of the Party, no one can change what the base of the Party stands for.

Realistically, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s attributes, values, and policies resonate with the grassroots of the Party. What again caught my attention was his call for unity and eschewing Religious and tribal bigotry.

Many have said, and it was reaffirmed at the National Delegates Conference, that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the most marketable to lead the NPP amongst all those vying to also lead.

As a Party eager to wrestle power from the clueless NDC administration, this is the appropriate moment for us to bite the bullet and say it as it is that the name Dr Bawumia rings a bell of hope and unity.

Unquestionably, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s ideas are rich and impactful, and we must guard them jealously going forward to the 2028 election.

The esteemed delegates and patriots were very clear in their minds and interacting with some of them obviously showed that the erudite and astute Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is their favourite.

In summary, the glaring acceptance, love shown for him are a testament to what he has wholeheartedly done for the Party for the past years as running mate, Vice President, and Flagbearer for the 2024 elections.

As the saying goes, “Who the cap fits, let them wear it”. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia deserves to wear the crown. He is affable, well-measured, and acceptable. The next Flagbearer, Insha Allah for the Party and the next President.

Kudos to leadership of the Party, distinguished members of the Planning Committee, and the Constitutional amendments committee for the extraordinary exposition of in-depth knowledge, hard work, and organizational prowess.

Shalom!
Long live NPP!
