Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament (MP), Isaac Adongo
Bolgatanga Central Member of Parliament (MP), Isaac Adongo, has called on his constituents to remain calm regarding their concerns that he has been excluded from the recently announced deputy ministerial list by the president.
While addressing the agitation among some youth in the constituency, Adongo said he had seen the disappointments in them but urged them to rather continue to give support to President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.
The MP reiterated his dedication to serving the people of Bolgatanga Central, stressing that his top priority as MP is to represent and advocate for his constituents’ interests in Parliament.
“I know everyone is disappointed, but I urge you all to remain calm and trust in His Excellency’s judgment. We have a country to run for four years, and he needs our support to succeed.
“My only job you gave me is as an MP and not a minister, and I will do my best to give off my best. It’s well. Our time will come,” he assured.
Isaac Adongo added that he has confidence in the abilities of the newly-appointed officials, hence encouraging his supporters to respect the president’s decision.
He also warned against actions that could interrupt the peace in the constituency, emphasising that his efforts to support Mahama’s return to power were not intended to embarrass him.
He said “I have absolute confidence in the ability of my colleagues to assist H.E. to achieve his vision. Don’t disturb the peace of my beloved Bolga Central in my name. I didn’t work to get JM to return to power just for you to embarrass him.”
