The Suffering Of Civilians In the Gaza Strip Cannot Continue

Dear critical reader, the ongoing conflict in Gaza has led to immense human suffering. Ordinary Palestinians, who have been ordered to evacuate to designated areas by the IDF, recount heart-wrenching tales of misery and unimaginable suffering when interviewed by media reporters. This cannot be allowed to continue.

The war raging in Gaza is a direct result of Hamas’s actions on October 7, 2023, when it crossed into Israel, killing and kidnapping Israelis. The collateral damage in Gaza is a consequence of Hamas’s tactics, using civilian areas to hide its military infrastructure and launch rockets into Israel.

To bring peace and relief to civilians in Gaza, Hamas must be forced to take immediate action to end the misery its terrorism is causing. This includes handing over all Israeli hostages, disarming, disbanding, and handing over control of the Gaza Strip to an Arab League peacekeeping force.

This Arab League peacekeeping force can work with the IDF and the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), the private U.S. humanitarian organisation sanctioned by Israel to distribute aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip, which recently received USD 30 million from the U.S. State Department.

People of good conscience across the globe must join hands to work towards a peaceful resolution of the Gaza crisis that prioritises human lives and dignity. Now, not tomorrow!
