Totobi Quakyi is the chairperson of Ghana National Gas Company Board
President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Kofi Totobi Quakyi as the chairperson of Ghana National Gas Company Board.
Kofi Totobi Quakyi, who comes from Sekondi in the Western Region, became the information minister under former president Jerry John Rawlings’ government.
He is one of the bigwigs of the NDC in the Western Region. He played a vital role in the 2024 campaign for the NDC and President John Mahama.
The company aims to ensure quality assurance and promote peaceful coexistence between the GNGC and host communities.
Kofi Totobi Quakyi, who was at Elubo in Jomoro Constituency on Monday, May 5, 2025, for a funeral rite, expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the confidence placed in him.
He called on the indigenes of Nzemaland, where the gas processing plant is, to support the new CEO and the management to manage the company properly.
He also pledged to support the new CEO to succeed.
“It is good that the gas plant is in Nzema, and President Mills and President John Mahama did well. Right now, what we have to do as Nzemas and Western is to support the new CEO and her management to reset the company, and I will support them to succeed”, he stated.
He further seized the opportunity to pay tributes to the two deceased assembly members who lost their lives in a horrific accident in Jomoro a week ago.
The acting CEO of the company, Judith Adjobah Blay expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama and John Jinapor for constituting the board in order to move the company forward.
