The Acting Chief Executive Officer of Goldbod, Sammy Gyamfi, has vehemently denied allegations that he has girlfriends on University of Ghana campus.

According to him, he does not have any amorous relationship with any girl or woman at the university for whom he has allegedly been purchasing cars and other valuable properties, as claimed by Afia Schwarzenegger.

He, has therefore, described the allegations by the social media personality as not just false and malicious but also deliberately contrived to destroy his image and reputation.

To clear his name, Sammy Gyamfi has instituted legal action against media personality Afia Schwarzenegger, born Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa through a defamation lawsuit.

In the suit, filed on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Gyamfi stated categorically: “I have no girlfriend(s) at the University of Ghana and have not at any time purchased vehicles for any so-called girlfriends as claimed by Defendant.”

“I have no girlfriend(s) at the University of Ghana and have not at any time purchased vehicles for any so-called girlfriends as claimed by Defendant.” The suit read in part.

He further denied ever buying any property in the United States or elsewhere for his wife or a supposed sister-in-law.

Gyamfi added that his wife does not even have a sister named “Vida,” as alleged by the Defendant, and stressed that any proper investigation would have revealed this.

The allegations, which said, were made either knowingly or with “unpardonably reckless disregard for the truth” were parts of attempts to portray him as being “morally depraved and without any scruples.”

He posited that following the weight of the allegations, his reputation has been severely damaged as he has received numerous calls and faced difficult questions.

The calls and the questions, he mentioned, came from associates, senior officials from the Office of the President, members of the NDC, family, and others both locally and abroad.

He, therefore described his legal action against the defendant as means to protect his high earned reputation and also to prevent any such reckless attacks on other public figures in the future.
