US-Africa Business Center, 3 others congratulate GIPC CEO Madjie

The US-Africa Business Center has congratulated Simon Madjie as the Acting Chief Executive Office of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center, highlighting his enormous credentials in promoting US investments in Ghana and the rest of Africa.

According to the Center, Mr. Madjie has been a pivotal figure in fostering trade relations between Ghana and the United States as the Executive Secretary of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ghana.

“We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Mr. Madjie in his new role to further strengthen the US-Ghana commercial partnership”, it said in a statement.

Africa Trade Academy

Similarly, the Advisory Board and Management of the Africa Trade Academy has extended its congratulations to Mr. Madjie as the new CEO of GIPC.

It stated that the appointment recognises his immense contributions to supporting and promoting a business-friendly environment.

“Simon has demonstrated over a decade’s commitment to driving and facilitating investment between Ghana and the US. He has been a strong advocate in the private sector, supporting improvements of the investment frameworks and business environment in Ghana to attract investments.”

It concluded, saying, the appointment of Simon Madjie is a recognition of these efforts and “we look forward to Mr. Madjie using his experience and networks to work with all the other stakeholders to improve the investment climate in Ghana, connect Ghana to Africa and support intra-Africa trade and investment.

Minnesota African United

In a related development, the Minnesota Africans United has commended Mr. Madjie of his new position as the Acting CEO of GIPC.

According to the group, Mr. Madjie’s tenure as Executive Secretary of the American Chamber of Commerce Ghana was instrumental in partnering with the US Embassy in Ghana to host a Minnesota business delegation, opening new market opportunities for African diaspora businesses in Minnesota and US firms alike.

“We commended his unwavering commitment to trade and for laying the groundwork for a thriving future in Minnesota-West Africa trade and investment. We look forward to further strengthening our partnership with Ghana for the benefit of our state and anticipate another trade mission in Ghana this year?”

African Trade Chamber

The African Trade Chamber also congratulated Simon Madjie on his appointment as new CEO of GIPC.

It said “As a distinguished member of the ATC’s Steering Committee, Mr. Madjie has played a pivotal role in driving private sector growth and advocating for policies that enhance investment frameworks”.
