Vedas is a synonym for gyan. Rishis who were from bharat, which is also called the land of the vedas have brought various aspects into the physical world be it solutions to possible problems , all the scientific discoveries of past and future and all the known and unknown arts.
Vedic Martial Arts was developed by Agastya muni. Much later, Bodhidharma took it to China and Kalaripattu of Kerala is its offshoot.
The equipment used in Vedic martial arts are spears, swords, sticks, knives and gada. These were some simple-looking things, which the rishis carried but are also very potent tools.
Vedic Martial Arts is to do with internal energy movements and aligning them to the biorhythms of the body to awaken hidden shaktis, which give glow and radiance to the body and reverse ageing. It develops phenomenal strength in the body and any attack can be easily warded off. The senses remain fully active due to this internal awakening. Mantras, asans and some exercises are also part of Vedic martial arts.
If you are attacked at any time or if anyone tries to grope you, irrespective of the number of people, the basic principle is, that at one time maximum of two people can come within arms length of touching you. Techniques are used to ward off and injure the attacker by striking gently at vital points also called marma sthans.
There is no age group, but the younger you start the more the chances of holding on to your youthful abilities and glow. In later ages it’s less effective as most of the shukra of the body gets lost and shaktis have faded.
Though the personal attention of the Guru can awaken them, it’s rare for a Guru to do that to you unless there is a very strong reason.
Not just the men but women should also practice as attacks on women are increasing by the hour and their emotional tensions and hyper lifestyle is contributing to faster ageing. Symptoms of aging like low sexual desire, greying of hair, skin losing its lustre, emotional reactions and dissatisfaction from life, all this can be effectively tackled through this science of Vedic martial arts.
Classes are held at various dhyan ashram centers all over the world. Like all aspects of the vedas, there is no commercial angle attached to it. Just like the yagya which is taught by dhyan ashram, this is also free of cost, all it requires is commitment and regular practice with dedication.
There are various levels to it and depending on your individual ability, a teacher is assigned to you. If there is phenomenal potential in you then I personally take you through.
