The Victory Baptist Church at Ayigya in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region has launched its 40th-anniversary celebrations, marking four decades of dedicated service to the community, spreading the Gospel, and fostering spiritual growth.
The anniversary will be commemorated with a year-long series of activities, including medical outreach and evangelism. Other planned initiatives include the construction of a water borehole at Ayigya, the dedication of the church building, and the adoption and renovation of a ward at KNUST Hospital.
Under the theme “Celebrating God’s Unchanging Promises,” the anniversary was officially launched on Sunday, February 2, 2025, by Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Charles Owusu Ampofo.
In his sermon, Rev. Dr. Ampofo urged members to rededicate themselves to serving both the church and God. As the President of the Ministers Conference of the Ghana Baptist Convention, he emphasized the importance of living a life of purpose and devotion. He called on members to reflect on their faith, deepen their relationship with God, and embrace a spirit of humility, love, and service.
“Serving God is not just about attending church services but about living a life of humility, love, and service to others,” he reminded the congregation.
He encouraged members to seek opportunities to serve, both within the church and in the broader community. “This call to action comes at a time when the church is reflecting on its mission and purpose,” he stated, urging members to use this milestone as an opportunity for spiritual renewal and deeper commitment to their faith.
