The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, left the nation’s capital, Accra, for Kumasi on Monday, June 23, 2025, following his three-day visit.

A viral video shared on social media showed the moment the Asantehene jetted out of Accra from the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).

One of the videos showed the arrival of the Asantehene’s convoy, including some plush vehicles, at the airport.

After arriving at KIA, the Asantehene met briefly with Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the Founder and General Overseer of Action Chapel International Ministry.

The two men were seen exchanging pleasantries amid handshakes and laughter.

Afterwards, the king was ushered into the Dzata plane; the private plane of Ghanaian business mogul, Ibrahim Mahama.

The video showed the moment the plane took off, leaving the runway, and ascending smoothly into the sky.

The Asantehene was in Accra for the graduation ceremony of one of his sons, Oheneba Kwame Kyeretwie, who graduated from DPS International on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

While in Accra, the Asantehene also called on President John Dramani Mahama at his private residence.

Meanwhile, the Asantehene is expected to receive the King of Eswatini, Mswati III, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.
