National Youth Organiser of the NPP, Salam Mustapha, has issued a heartfelt apology to party supporters in the wake of the party’s crushing defeat in the 2024 elections.
Speaking on Point Blank during Eyewitness News on Citi FM, Mustapha acknowledged the magnitude of the loss and expressed deep remorse.
“It is with a lot of pain that I admit that we failed, and quite hugely at that,” he stated.
He extended his apologies to the party’s grassroots, including polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency executives, youth organisers, and regional and national executives.
Mustapha also empathized with the youth who had placed their hopes in an NPP victory.
“I say we are very sorry from the very depths of our hearts to all the party following, especially the thousands, millions of young people who were looking up to us to win the election and give them hope,” he added.
Despite the setback, Mustapha reassured supporters that the party remains determined to rebuild and regain its strength. He expressed confidence in the NPP’s ability to recover from the loss and return to winning ways.
