Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has made a confident remark about Ghana’s chances ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Jordan was part of the second batch of players to partake in training on Tuesday after missing Monday’s session.

Ayew was elevated to the role of captain before the World Cup qualifiers by Otto Addo.

The 33-year-old is among Ghana’s most experienced players of all-time.

Ayew has featured for the Black Stars since his debut in 2010.

His 109 appearances for Ghana adds gloss to his unwavering commitment and availability for the national team in the last decade.

Previously being left out of Otto Addo’s leadership hierarchy, Jordan has embraced his new role as team captain.

Addressing an expectant crowd after training on Tuesday, Ayew assured Ghanaians of a positive result against Chad.

“We know we are in a difficult situation, but we will turn things around and when I see you guys here I know that definitely it is going to be a positive result on Friday.

Chad sit bottom of group I with no points, conceding nine goals and scoring one in four games while Ghana sit second on nine points, level with group leaders Comoros.

The Black Stars will wrap up their training sessions on Thursday ahead of the clash against Chad on Friday.
