If the Secretary-General of the Ghana Federation of Labor (GFL) were attentive enough, Mr. Abraham Koomson would have just recently heard the National Chairman of the country’s ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson “The Mosquito” Asiedu-Nketia, who also presently doubles as the Mahama-appointed Executive-Director or Chairman of the Ghana Ports and Harbors Company or Corporation, gleefully, leeringly and vindictively assert, scarcely a week or two ago, that the next prime target for summary removal by President John “The Ouagadougou Nkonfem-Flying” Dramani Mahama was, just like the presently “Suspended” Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey-Torkornoo, a former President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s appointee, poised to shortly remove the historically incomparably competent Chairperson of Ghana’s Independent Electoral Commission (I/EC), to wit, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensa,
If, indeed, Mr. Abraham Koomsom strongly and firmly believes that the glaringly politically motivated suspension of Mrs. Sackey-Torkornoo was not both premeditated and politically motivated, then the so-called Secretary-General, rather than General-Secretary, of the Ghana Federation of Labor needs to promptly resign his official position and check himself into the Accra Mental Hospital, more globally and popularly known as the Accra Asylum or the Asylum-Down Hospital, while Yours Truly was growing up in the late 1960s and the 1970s (See “Suspended Chief Justice Is a Victim of Her Own Actions – GFL” Modernghana.com 6/29/25).
We also don’t know that a twice-failed former Presidential Candidate with a personal history of rank official corruption, including the indelible proclamation of such conduct and criminal character by the globally acclaimed Founding-Father of the National Democratic Congress, to wit, the late former President Jeremiah “Jerry” John Rawlings, has any credibility and integrity to presume to cavalierly invoke Articles and Provisions or Provisos of Ghana’s 1992 Republican Constitution to impugn the professional credibility and the administrative competence of a far more credible and professionally competent institutional coordinate and coequal President of both the august Supreme Court of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana and, to be certain, the entire Judicial Establishment of the country.
Even more significant and worth putting the same, once again, on the public record, is the fact that in 2012, the then Interim-President Mahama not only thoroughly rigged that watershed year’s election, by the very intimate and authoritative public testimony of Mr. Johnson “The Mosquito” Asiedu-Nketia, who was at the time the Imperial and the Dynastic General-Secretary of the National Democratic Congress. We have already written and published dozens and reams of book-length news features and other forms of news-related analytical themes and mini-essays about this most damning and unspeakably horrific attempt by the entire leadership of the National Democratic Congress to effectively eviscerate the country’s hard and fiercely fought democratic dispensation.
In the ensuing Akufo-Addo, Bawumia and the Obetsebi-Lamptey-led 2012-13 Presidential-Election Petition, it was scandalously revealed that, indeed, the former Chairman Rawlings-appointed Electoral Commission’s Chairperson at the time, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, a former Political Science Lecturer at Ghana’s oldest and flagship tertiary academy, the University of Ghana, had criminally and deliberately caused the illegal registration of underage Ghanaian citizens, numbering in the thousands – Dr. Afari-Gyan could not provide any specific figures – to exercise the franchise. The outcome of the results of the afore-referenced year’s Presidential Election would be equally criminally determined by the Associate Justice William Atuguba-presided panel of some 9 Supreme Court Justices.
It would shortly come to light, via the research of a Nigerian Fulbright or Ford Foundation Scholar, I fr=orget exactly which, that, in fact, Justice Atuguba had unnecessarily or deliberately caused the judicial proceedings to be prolonged – to approximately 8 months – so as to enable the Court to literally play fast-and-loose with the real and the true outcome of the Apex Court’s Decision or Verdict. Indeed, as the superannuated graduate of the Ghana Armed Forces’ Senior-Staff College, “Lt-Col.” Johnson “The Mosquito” Asiedu-Nketia publicly admitted even well before the bogus decision was handed down by the Atuguba Court, “There is absolutely no way for Nana Akufo-Addo to have lost the 2012 Presidential to the real loser.”
Now, couple the foregoing with the order issued by the so-called National Communications Officer of the then main opposition National Democratic Congress, Mr. Samuel “Sammy” Gyamfi, flanked by a panoply of the party’s National Executive Operatives, including Messrs. Asiedu-Nketia, Fiifi Fiavi “Tiafi” Kwetey and, you guessed right, then twice-defeated Candidate John “European Airbus SE Payola” Dramani Mahama, for all able-bodied members, supporters and sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress to immediate swamp all ballot-collation centers around the country, in order to ensure by hook-and-or-crook that the overwhelming majority of the ballots cast were counted in favor and on behalf of both Candidate Mahama and the National Democratic Congress at large, and it incontrovertibly becomes clear that truthfully and practically speaking, the former Arch-Lieutenant of the “Mysteriously Vanished” President John Evans “Atta-Woyome” Mills and the Bole-Bamboi native, from the Akufo-Addo-created Savannah Region, has never legitimately won any Presidential Tournament in the country.
Is there any wonder then, or therefore, that Yagbonwura Kwame Gonja would also cavalierly and flagrantly attempt to arm-twist Chief Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey-Torkornoo crudely out of her hard-earned august office and portfolio of Chief Justice and bona fide President of the Supreme Court of Ghana? Remember also that these are the same key operatives of Operation Death Incorporated (ODI) who globally infamously butchered the Three Akan-Descended Superior Court Judges whose statuary busts stand in the forecourt of the Supreme Court Building, across the High Street from the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum in Ghana’s capital of Accra.
