The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially announced the examination dates for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to a letter issued to all Regional Directors of Education, this year’s BECE will take place from June 9 to June 16, 2025, while the WASSCE is scheduled to run from August 4 to September 19, 2025.

The letter further stated that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) will soon provide additional details regarding the registration process for candidates. Heads of schools will be notified once the registration period is confirmed.

GES has urged Regional Directors of Education to disseminate this information to Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Directors of Education, ensuring that all Heads of Basic and Senior High Schools are well-informed. Schools are expected to adequately prepare their students for these crucial examinations.

Students and parents are advised to stay updated through their respective schools and official announcements from WAEC and GES.
