Member of Parliament for Manso Nkwanta, Hon. Tweneneboah Kodua Forkuo, has questioned President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to implementing the 24-Hour Economy Policy.
He said the President has already shown in his 100 days in office that the policy was mere rhetoric.
“Where are we in the implementation of the 24-Hour Economy? Has he commenced the implementation or not?” Dr. Forkuo quizzed.
“The President made a promise, but it’s worrying to note that Ghanaians are not hearing anything in relation to the 24-Hour Economy,” he added.
Speaking on OTEC 102.9 FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Nyansapo’, hosted by Kwaku Owusu Boateng on Tuesday, April 28, 2025, Dr. Forkuo said most of the promises President Mahama made in the build-up to the 2024 polls were for votes.
He emphasised that the NDC government has been silent on the policy, which is worrying.
Dr. Forkuo urged the government to give an update on the policy, adding that the President must make his intentions clear on whether or not he will commit to the pledges he made to Ghanaians.
