The 2021/22 President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), Yiadom Boakye Emmanuel, a native of the Ashanti region, who has pursued his basic to tertiary education in the greater Kumasi Metropolis, and has had direct interaction with the youth as a student leader at various levels of his educational background, makes him an ideal candidate to elicit responses from students who constitute an organ of our great party, the New Patriotic Party.
Yiadom, with extensive international and local educational experience, possesses a deep understanding of contemporary youth development issues. His rich experience as a former NUGS President, garnered from the student political front, optimally positions him to unify various TESCON institutional affiliations under a single umbrella, paving the way for victory in 2028. The outcome of the 2024 elections indicates a diminished pathway for the party in the Ashanti region; consequently, the party necessitates an action-oriented leader capable of revitalizing the base through impactful youth events, thereby galvanizing collective support.
With his limited job experience abroad, Yiadom understands the migration effect on the youth through his philanthropic campaign, having donated to the Adum fire disaster, which has brought significant hardship to the youth who previously sold goods at the disaster site.
Yiadom is a devoted member of the New Patriotic Party, having actively participated in the party’s politics since his student days. As we strive to rebuild for victory in 2024, we require a unifying figure, a philanthropist, and a seasoned youth leader who genuinely understands the needs of the youth and has a proven track record of making positive impacts. With Yiadom at the helm, we can be confident that nothing will go wrong.
