St Mark has said former President Kufuor has no right to complain St Mark has said former President Kufuor has no right to complain

A prominent clergyman, Apostle St Sark, has launched a staggering rebuke on former President John Agyekum Kufuor, accusing him of hypocrisy following the statesman’s recent claims of being sidelined by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Kufuor, who led the NPP to power after nearly three decades in opposition, expressed feeling offended by the party’s alleged neglect.

However, St Sark refuted these claims, arguing that Kufuor himself bears responsibility for the current state of affairs within the NPP.

The clergyman alleged that Kufuor prioritised the agenda of former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia over that of Alan Kyerematen during the party’s internal elections.

“The agenda would be at risk if Alan led the party, so they did everything possible to ensure Bawumia was chosen,” St Sark stated.

The clergyman went on to question John Agyekum Kufuor’s silence during critical junctures in the party’s history, pointedly asking;

“Weren’t you there when Alan was asked to step down for Akufo-Addo? Weren’t you present when Akufo-Addo promised that Alan would succeed him? Why didn’t you speak up when the party was going off track?”

St Sark further accused the former president of contributing to the harm suffered by numerous figures within the NPP through his alleged inaction.

“You have no right to complain about the party turning its back on you now,” he declared.

These accusations are a direct response to Kufuor’s recent public admission that he feels excluded from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) matters and activities after his departure from office.

In an interview, Kufuor expressed his disappointment, stating, “How come I have been ignored? I don’t understand… I heard you were doing something and I was like ‘Am I no longer a party member?’ I am just watching you from afar.”
